If you’ve got the midwinter blues, just remind yourself that Spring Break is right around the corner. Start planning now for the vacation of the season. Stay at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in New Braunfels for easy access to live music, tubing and waterpark fun.
New Braunfels is a hotspot for live music with performances every week at the historic Gruene Hall. Come out on March 17, 2015 for the Two Tons of Steel Spring Break Show. Two Tons of Steel offers audiences a unique blend of Texas Country and punk music. You won’t be able to keep from dancing. The show starts at 8:30 p.m., but come early for swing dance lessons at 6 p.m. – only $8 a person.
It’s not Spring Break without floating the river. The Comal and Guadalupe Rivers bring in thousands of visitors each year. Check out tube rental shops like Texas Tubes, situated on the peaceful Comal River. Let your trouble melt away under the Texas sun. The float lasts about three hours, so bring refreshments to keep hydrated. From March 8 – May 1, Texas Tubes’ hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with the last tube leaving at 5 p.m. Grab your friends and have a good time!
Splash into spring with the chilling, thrilling world-renowned Schlitterbahn Waterpark. From March 7 – 22, the park will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day. Bring the whole family and prepare to have loads of fun. There’s hardly a dry spot in the park!
